When BMW HQ is done with testing their own cars in the Z series, they will be disassembled. Some parts are analysed, other parts are scrapped, but especially exterior parts are sold in total packages. The typical BMW spare parts packages consists of bumpers, doors, front fenders, wing mirrors, hood, lamps and front with grill, coolers and the entire front structure for radiators and front bumper, but it is different from package to package. There are great variations in which model year cars the packages come from, but typically cars are 2-6 years old. Occasionally, there is a package for newer and older models, so over time most BMW Z series models are covered (E30 Z1, E36 Z3, E85/E86 Z4, E89 Z4, E52 Z8)
